The Floating City [OOC] [THREE]

Post by thirtythr33 »

New edition, new thread.
Agamemnon wrote:Only GMs can add characters to a campaign. You'll have to add a blank sheet for each person. You'll want to make sure it's set so that "all players" can see it, but only the specific player can edit/control it.

Meanwhile, Gasparo is ready...
Sheets added now.

For new character creation/conversion:
  • You can move around priorities, skills or whatever as long as you keep to the original concept and the change isn't jarring
  • If you previously had a edge, SA or something that hasn't really impacted the game yet (eg Marco's Animal Kin) feel free to change it or drop it entirely
  • Treat what has happened in game as "backstory" for the creation of a "reboot" character that emulates what has been established in the story so far
  • These characters are to be made according to new rules, with no SAs, karma or anything else rolling forward
  • Leave equipment and money as is for now until we have the rules for Coin and Assets
  • If you were "blessed" with an extra flaw during play, that means you have to pay for it as a trait as it is now part of the new character
  • Feel free to introduce new NPCs or whatever as you like, using drives or traits as if it were a new campaign
  • If you can't make it work right, let me know and we'll come up with something
I'll leave it up to you if you want to keep your character sheet typed out in your Character thread, on Roll20, or as a PDF but I'd if it's the PDF I'd like it kept online somewhere it can be edited and I can see it.

PS: I promise I'll have the next post up for Lucio's interrogation by tomorrow.

Gasparo has been filled out. I think. It's 3am, so I might have missed something.

Sorry guys, but that's the moment for me to leave the game. I'm sorry, 33. I wanted to write a post for the game, but it doesn't really work any more.
I won't even start writing a new character sheet. Next week I will be too busy anyway.
If there will be anyone interested in taking over Marco, do so. I'm happy to help if there's help needed.
Thank you very much, especially thirtythr33. If you ever need some help (I don't know, during a skirmish or something), let me know, maybe I'll be able to assist.
See you guys next time maybe :)

Very well then. Thanks for playing, it was certainly a pleasure.

In that case, I'm going to retcon Marco sending the others out of the room. That way, they heard Lucio's explanation so far and are available to continue questioning him.

For the remaining players (Agamemnon, Benedict, Einbein), I think this is a good time to discuss how we are going to continue after this arc (there's a bit left to do in Venice). I see the following options:
  • We continue from where we are, now following Gasparo, Ferran and Gregor. Possibly going back to Mirandola or something?
  • We time jump a significant amount of time. We start something new with Gasparo, Ferran and Gregor, perhaps after the Italian Wars have ended. You get a lot of flexibility in changing up characters if you like.
  • We call an end to The Floating City, and I prepare for a new game in a new setting entirely. Based around whatever characters you cook up.
  • We call an end to The Floating City and focus on Release the Hounds.
What do you guys think?

If there can be closure to this chapter without making it feel forced or artificial I'd say at least finish the thing. Then we see. In any case, I'm cool with whatever the majority decides. Even if that means stopping it here and now. :)

Yeah, I think this Act can be wrapped up. There's still another twist to uncover shortly that should bring it to a pretty satisfying crescendo and conclusion.

I'm pretty disappointed to have Marco leave so close to uncovering what I planned from day 1.

But I'm also interested in gauging what you guys are thinking about after that.

I'm always in for some gritty rp. So whatever you are planning count me in. ;)

Well, I've edited a few posts so the team never left the room. Feel free to jump back into Lucio's conversation for now.

Hate to hear that, know the feeling. I'm sorry.
If you can save the ideas for future, do that. Maybe I'll come back this year.
Other possibility is to finish the thing NOW, but it'd have to be real quick :D, as I've said, from Monday I won't have the time for playing.
