Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Sorry about the delay. I have to make time to read other posts properly and make my own posts.
But yeah, that's more or less what I had in my mind. If Cirillo can make the attack from one floor up (I don't remember the map) then that's where he is, otherwise he is down there laying an ambush.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
I don't think that climbing down the wall and ambushing the crossbowmen would be a good idea. If you roll badly once (for stealth, climbing, attack, and so on), you are totally screwed.
Do we have anything we could thrown on the people battering down the door?

Cirillo will stay well inside as his intention was/is to shoot at someone who actually gets through the door.

I don't think it's going to matter, they rolled really well breaking it down in the first round. See dice thread.Alex wrote:Do we have anything we could thrown on the people battering down the door?
Cirillo's Lay Ambush is triggered. See dice thread.Marras wrote:Cirillo will stay well inside as his intention was/is to shoot at someone who actually gets through the door.

OK, what are the modifiers? Does any of Cirillo's SAs fire? Is the man on the open from Cirillo's point of view or is location choosing necessary? Do I have to roll initiative or something?

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
He has AV4 helmet, AV2 doublet, 0AV on arms and legs, no cover. It's at under optimal range (you get to pick your target wheel) and Ob0 (Ob1 for being among obstructions, -1Ob for aiming). It's just about the easiest shot you can make, waiting for someone to walk into a doorway you have your sights trained on. No initiative required, your action goes off in their sequence because you were using Lay Ambush.
Either "I will protect my friends no matter the cost" or "Survive the wrath of Rocco and his gang" will fire.
You just need to pick a target wheel and roll for placement (ie damage).

Since Marco is on the second floor, I hope he can see the intruders? Is there any available target to sling at? Beside the thug Cirillo shot down, and Rocco. What is the range for Marco, Close or Short? Ob1?

Marco can see them yes. Close range, Ob1. Same armor as I mentioned before.
By the looks of them, they are all barging into the room as fast as they can.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
A small "reality check". Is Cirillo at the same floor where the main door to the warehouse is? Marco is at the next floor? Karl is at the same floor as Cirillo and we are alone at that floor?

Cirillo, Ferran and Marco are standing on the floor across the room from where the mob just broke open the door. Karl is at the top of the stairwell above you.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
When Karl hears the commotion on the first floor, he goes down one or two stairs just to get a look at what is going on.
If I understood correctly, the door is opened just enough for someone to slide an arm inside? But they are not yet in the room?
If that is the case, Karl quickly grabs one of the crossbow that was already loaded on the third floor, he he goes down the stairs (avoiding our numerous traps and and gives it to Cirillo to take another shot. He tells him to get ready to retreat to the third floor.
Karl stays close to the staircase to come back to the third floor if anybody gets inside the room.

Yes, at the start of the round. They are all moving quickly though.Alex wrote:If I understood correctly, the door is opened just enough for someone to slide an arm inside? But they are not yet in the room?
Cirillo has already locked in some actions for this round (move up the stairs and assist Marco) but you can have the crossbow ready for him at the start of the next round.(ie, he will be able to use it next round, but not this one)Alex wrote:If that is the case, Karl quickly grabs one of the crossbow that was already loaded on the third floor, he he goes down the stairs (avoiding our numerous traps and and gives it to Cirillo to take another shot. Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
1) Kark keeps watch over the staircase.
2) Someone take care of our prisoners. They should be gagged with their hands tied behind their backs. Also we'll make sure their feet are also tied. And we can have them laying prone, face down. It should not be easy to stand up when you are facing down with your hands and feets tighted up.
Also, someone should not hesitate to threaten them... Karl tried to be "nice" with them earlier, but if they have any idea about interfering in the fight.
3) Someone keeps watch over the open window (well the window that is not barred shut). Rocco might want us to focus on the second floor while someone is sneaking on us from the window.
Once they are all secure, we can chat quietly among ourselves about the best way to go.
I see no reason for rushing things: they will have to get up the stairs or through the one open window to get to us. They can't stay there forever: they will have to leave before daylight.
We could even anger them so they rush upstairs. That would not be Karl first idea, but for example, if we throw one of the prisoner down the stairs, he will get injured from all the traps. They might get mad and rush upstairs.
Of course, we can always challenge Rocco to a duel. Marco has been skillful or lucky for his last duel, but I expect Rocco to be a very challenging opponent. I am not convinced a duel is the way to go.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Soc/Manipulate to goad Rocco or Soc/Orate to convince the thugs of something.OCC Ferran wants to goad him and embarrass him in-front of his men. What do I roll?
Just so its clear before you roll; Rocco has an Ace up his sleeve so there is no way he is going to rush up the stairs (until he knows if his Ace is going to work out). You might be able to goad him into doing something else stupid though.
Currently the prisoners are standing and have their mouth gagged. Their feet are tied together but they can hop and their hands are tied together in front (You had to keep their hands in front so they could eat and use the toilet bucket). If you want their hands behind their back you will have to untie and rebind them.Alex wrote:2) Someone take care of our prisoners. They should be gagged with their hands tied behind their backs. Rocco the Red is not a noble, so he is not honor-bound to accept a duel. He might accept anway, but only if it were to his advantage.Alex wrote:Of course, we can always challenge Rocco to a duel.
