As we have a moment, let's take a quick look at the village. I think we can use this image for general overview purposes:

Sorry, the image doesn't work. Google it, if you ever need to (type "medieval village plan", should be the first result in graphics).
Anyway, the church, the rectory and the barn are in the center. Smith: south-west. Karl's farm: north-west. Mill: north. Manor house: north-east.

Hans came from south. The bounty hunter Maciej and accompanying peasants came from north-east.

Don't take this picture as dogma, there are probably more huts and the distances are somewhat greater.

Karl assists in holding the door shut, and looks back over his shoulder for anything that could be used to block the door, and for any other exits.

Roll Cunning/Trade(farming) or Cunning/Background, Ob2 (Routine). This should be enough to lock the doors - at least until they physically break them.

Unfortunately, you can't see any tools in the barn. There's not much of anything here, actually. Some boxes, grain (not much), hay in the loft...

You and Karl and Gunther - will fit. Eddy? Not in life, he's too big.

OK, climbing up to the loft and under the roof is very easy now, no need to roll. But than you have to climb down the wall outside... Ob would be 4, still.

Is there a rope in the barn? Hans could tie it to a roof beam or something. If not we can try to share successes but I rather not do that because we have to be quiet not to raise the attention of that mad crowd.
