Re: The Storm - comments, discussions, complains, rolls and other OOC stuff
Ah, OK.
It gets too much of a hassle to check Roll20 just in case something is happening there although I understand if combats are done there. It was a great phrase I played there couple of nights ago.
I am willing to do a full combat to get a better understanding of combat system and hopefully I can get to Roll20 this evening. But if Karl helps Hans without Stempest actually participating, I don't know how it can be handled. I can settle for simple combat if it helps to resolve the issue.

OK guys, in this case we proceed with Full Melee.
Stempest - just tell us: do you help Marras (who's fighting Maciej) or Benedict (in grapple with Twinscars). And than I will run your character.

Korbel - I'll PM you if/when I have a time to do Roll20 session and see if we can arrange it.

I will help Benedict and hope to get a cheap but nonlethal shot on his opponent so that we can then triple team Maciej. Hold on Hans!

OK. I think I can play for something about 6 hours from now. If not, tomorrow afternoon.Marras wrote:Korbel - I'll PM you if/when I have a time to do Roll20 session and see if we can arrange it.
OK, everything is clear now.Stempest wrote:I will help Benedict and hope to get a cheap but nonlethal shot on his opponent so that we can then triple team Maciej. Hold on Hans!

I logged on to Roll20 in case I can do the combat now (not too busy at work at the moment).

Yeah... I'd rather say: hold on, Maciej!Stempest wrote:Hold on Hans!
We did some rolling on roll20 and I believe the whole fight is over. Marras will describe his phrase in the evening.

How do you want to get inside the manor? What is the plan?

Hans should try to get over the wall. At the same time Twinscars will present me "bound" to the guards. Karl, Hilde, and Otto will be with us. The plan is that Twinscars is a mercenary who captured me with the help of Karl, and they want to join their cause. Hans will provide a distraction and we three will take the guards by surprise.
What do you think about that gang?

As a slight variation on the plan, why not pretend we're already part of the cause. I doubt they have a register of who is in and who is out amongst all the villagers. Otherwise, seems solid.

It is very possible that Ruthard is known to oppose them and the village might be small enough that the priest knows and has told to others who few have not took the "sacrament".
About the distraction. If Hans goes and does it, it's possible that the surprise will be lost. Perhaps you should just go in as planned while Hans stays in reserve (although behind enemy lines). If that doesn't sound good, what kind of distraction you mean?

I guess you will have to evaluate the risk? Anyway, sounds like an interesting plan.Marras wrote:It is very possible that Ruthard is known to oppose them and the village might be small enough that the priest knows and has told to others who few have not took the "sacrament".

Re: The Storm - OOC
I've figured it out.
Hans will go over the wall and hide, then will sneak up to the guards.
Twinscars will guide Ruthard "bound" with his hands behind the back and sword at hand.
Ruthard will be unarmed. His hammer will be carried by Twinscars his sword by Karl.
Karl and family will come up with a story about that "white devil" who wants to kill their beloved priest and how Twinscars captured Ruthard.
Twinscars will claim that he is a traveler who after hearing everything wants to join their forces and presents Ruthard to them.
Then we hit them fast and hard.
Hans attacks from behind while Karl, Ruthard, & Twinscars make the frontal attack. It's 4 v 4, I hope we get em by surprise there and then and kill em as fast as possible.
Hilde should stay behind the 3 guarding Otto.
Then we see.

Re: The Storm - OOC
OK guys, please confirm that you start executing this plan. In this case I will need some rolls from Marras: Agility/Stealth Ob3 and Agility/Athletics(climbing) Ob4 (because the wall is wet and slippery). Before you roll, you can make an Ob3 Cunning/Larceny check to find the best spot for climbing the wall - success will mean the Ob for Athletics is reduced to 3.
