In this case you must make this positioning.
He rolls against Ob1, playing safe - 3 dice:
[dice seed=41942 secure=70c84518_0]3d10[/dice]
And he spends one dice to favor head.

OK, I use 4 dice for positioning and favor head. So I have spent 5 dice.
Here's the positioning roll [dice seed=46660 secure=92113b79_0]4d10[/dice]

Can I use story points to get the remaining success?

youcouldprobably use "Yes, but...", but it gives Major Complication... not worth it I think. I suppose its better to suffer the results: you will have Disadvantage in the first phrase. So your TN 6 clibs back up to 6.

Re: The Storm - comments, discussions, complains, rolls and other OOC stuff
You guys seem to have more time on your hands, so I'm going to slow this down if you wait for me. Karl's general strategy is going to be to attack the legs of whoever is the easier target, seeking to main but hoping not to kill. If they can't walk then they can't get to the manor. If he wounds someone so that they can no longer fight properly, he will ask them to yield. Karl has no issue attacking from behind or the like (Honourable relates to his treatment of people, but he was a soldier, so once the fighting starts, he'll do whatever is necessary).
I believe he has 15 proficiency in polearms. He'll spend 3 dice on tests not to slip, and tend to roll lots of dice in defence because he knows he has the numerical advantage and that soaking up his opponents' attacks will let an ally attack freely.
Happy for someone else to run Karl in the fights so this doesn't take a month.

Marras is right, we can wait. And theres another way, use Simple Combat. One roll and its done. We will find a way "mix" it with regular bouts. Anyway, I have to discuss something with Benedict and then I will post in-game. We shall see what happens next.

Re: The Storm - comments, discussions, complains, rolls and other OOC stuff
I'm basically only available a couple of hours a day to do Roll20 stuff, and some days I'm not available at all. I can do the 2 minute check-and-post, but extended sittings are harder.
FWIW, the two hours I'm available is typically around 8pm-10pm, and I'm at UTC+10 (Eastern Australia). Assuming you guys are in Europe, that's around lunch time or early afternoon for you. I assume that's not great if you're working.
Hence suggestion of either having someone run Karl for combats, or I can live with Simple Combat too.

First, I will edit my post: Twinscars will say something, as this the time between combat phrases. You can respond, but keep it short - a few words.
Second... if you want to continue the fight, I think the best and easiest idea is to resolve everything with Simple Combat. You will have to declare your exact intent and just make a single roll. Otherwise it might take too much time... And you would probably win anyway, outnumbering your opponents.
What do you say?

Resolve everything in a single die roll while the 2 swordsmen are in a grapple and Maciej is outnumbered? Not my kind of thing really. If the others want it though fine.

Also remember this.
Don't think that it would resolve anything really. We could lose and go to melee again. They could lose and go to melee again.page 59 wrote: If either side is not satisfied with the result of the scuffle, they can invoke Resort to Violence and go into full melee, but all prior injuries remain in effect.

What am I missing? Karl is fighting Twinscar? Are there others involved? If not and Ruthard is down then isn't the combat 1 vs 1 in two parts? I assume Hilde and Otto won't participate in combat.

Re: The Storm - comments, discussions, complains, rolls and other OOC stuff
Ruthard is not down. His wound was actually level 3 (we introduced a gambeson through Story Point). They are in grapple at the moment. Karl has the liberty to choose if he helps you or Ruthard. If we continue with full melee rules and he attacks Twinscars, we need the exact rules (attacking someone in grapple). I guess it should be resolved with positioning? most probably.
Anyway, If you want full melee - fine. But Maciej and Twinscar will not resort to full melee if they lose Simple Combat.

Check Roll20 on what happened exactly.Marras wrote:What am I missing? Karl is fighting Twinscar? Are there others involved? If not and Ruthard is down then isn't the combat 1 vs 1 in two parts? I assume Hilde and Otto won't participate in combat.
Why not ask how this should be resolved? And if its too much of a hassle then Karl joins Hans and we continue that grapple.Korbel wrote:They are in grapple at the moment. EDIT: Just asked.
