He's significantly less impressive with the helmet off.

Now I have this idea of Boba Fett only bounty hunting because a mid-life crisis made him give up his day-job as an accountant.

 Yeah, maybe I should give it a try, too. Although possibilities for that are quite limited around here (and no, I don't work in accounting, either)...

Or maybe he was not an accountant but a chemistry teacher?..

I suppose it stands to reason that the Empire's healthcare system would be as bad as early 2000s America's :P

I keep hearing we have a solar eclipse over here in Estonia. Here's a shot of the sky as of now.

The next eclipse of this kind of magnitude will be in 111 years, so, yeah...

Same here some distance up north from you Higgins. Still, I bought some goggles that I got from a science magazine with me to work. With those the sun was clearly crescent. When the eclipse was over the sun was less bright and obviously round using those goggles.

I wish they looked something like Riddick's glasses but nothing so fancy. Let's see if I can put a picture of them here (or at least a link to a picture).

About posting pictures, if you use IMG tag to post a picture in here, reformat it into 572 pixels wide and throw it to imgur, which is the most reliable image hosting site that I've seen to date. Any wider than 572 and the image breaks the forum formatting.

And I've seen the eclipse - it was a sunny spring day in Moscow. Unfortunately I didn't think beforehand about the means to protect my eyes. So I tried using two pairs of sunglasses - not really a good choice, but still better then nothing. Later I arrived to my friend's place (the eclipse was still at large) and discovered that she was using the oldest (and the most reliable) method to watch the sun: she used a piece of blackened glass.
When I asked her, where she had found the glass, she told me that she'd taken it out from a photo frame. In XXI century getting a simple piece of glass is an outright quest for a city dweller... :|
All in all, that piece of blackened glass really made our day. Many people that passed by managed to have a look at the eclipse through it. :)
No shots, unfortunately: an iphone just can't handle such stuff as this...

You can also watch it through a quality CD, covering the central hole.
