Where are you from in NZ? I spent the months from Feb to Apr on your little islands with my wife and son and haven't seen many gaming stores on the roads... just one martial arts store in Auckland, close to a gaming Café, where patrons could rent board games. So I wondered already whether there were Kiwi gamers at all :D
Hi there and thank you kindly! I'm from Hawkes Bay, a little town called Hastings. I can understand a road trip through our little islands revealing zip on the gaming front - the few stores we have catering for RPGers, Wargamers and Boardgamers as a whole, are largely restricted to GDW type shops, basically vehicles for shifting whatever the new edition of Warhammer is. There are a few shop catering for all stripes, but many groups now are found, and spawn new ones, on social media. Ironically, despite being *just* a province, the relatively new geeks guild in my neck of the woods has just ticked over 300 members in an area of 2 main towns of barely more than 75,000 each. That's actually pretty good numbers for here, where it's no where near as big as other parts of the world!

Thanks. I fence at Sydney Sabre Centre, if you are ever in the neighborhood.

We stayed in Napier two separate nights at two different homes before and after the weekend the Dixy Chicks performed in town. Nice location and still not too far away from beautiful national parks ;) you have a beautiful country down there.

Though we still have a court hearing filed against a guy who drove off our driver's door on the Countdown parking lot in Napier and said it was our fault

Hey y'all!

I'm Fort Pwnall. Name is based on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Pownall.

Real-life name is Mark. I live in South Africa and work as a software developer.

I've been playing tabletop RPGs since high-school. I recently became more interested in historically accurate combat, strangely enough, due to starting with NERO LARP. As I was making my foam weapons and looking tutorial vids online, I got other recommended vids, I got curious about how things would work historically, one thing led to another, and now here I am getting excited about trying out a system that could model such combat realistically. :D

Welcome aboard!

I think this technically means we just need someone from Asia and we've gotten all the populated continents. I know we have North and South American Scoundrels, a couple Australians, and Europeans galore.

Tally up one more North American, though currently living in the Hawaiian islands. Been following this for a few months and loving it.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Shuttleworth. We've been indeed looking for sponsors to do this game dev thing full time.

But on a more serious note, I have friends in Jo'burg and Alberton. And I do believe PsiPhire from our forums resided near Cape Town.

In fact, I have a tabard of the South African steel fighting team, but there's no pictures of me wearing is as I haven't found the occasion to do so.

And my gauntlets are also made in South Africa. :)

Awesome! I've found that outside of Africa, not that many people know much about South Africa.

And... I know you were joking... but I am not Shuttleworth. :P Don't have nearly enough money to sponsor you, though.

Glad to be able to extend your reach across the continents! :P Actually, in fact, you've had a South African on here awhile. Isn't that right, PsiPhire? :P Bit of a lurker, but a friend of mine.

Welcome as well! Hawaiian islands sounds like a nice place to be if there are no tropical storms around...

Yeah, it's been pretty good to me for the last few years, but all good things must come to an end. I'm heading back to the east coast in just a couple of weeks.

Hi,
I'm Pepe and I live in Germany. I play tabletop RPGs for about 12 years now. In the last 2 or 3 years my active participation could have been better, though. I mostly just read rules now. I am a big fan of the Cthulhu RPG and consider modern day drama and action my focus in RPGs (anything that happened in the last 200 years and everything that is to come). Since english isn't my native language it can happen that my grammar or orthography isn't perfect. I am happy about corrections, though. When I am not studying, working or with my girlfriend and dog I like to design setting for possible games that I will never play.
I am excited for you!
