Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
That was what I was planning on, until Korbel mentioned splitting up.

I'm cool with it. And we can handle recuperation any way you like. Either increase this week's healing time by two-three days or skip this week entirely for riding to Venice. No biggie. At least from me.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Not that I personally want to split the party, but if I'm to roleplay Marco - he wants to get there as soon as possible. Next day, preferably. Not spend the night somewhere between Venice and Mirandola. And the only solution for quick travel would be this: Marco + Gasparo + Gregor; 6 horses total; when they reach their destination, both Gasparo and Gregor take the spare horses and go back (doable?). Unless you can come up with something else?
Of course we can agree OOC that a slower travel won't reduce the chances for saving Claudio (just for the purposes of not splitting the party). That's up to you, I guess.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
If you ride hard, the whole party can arrive at the end of the first day.
The few hours difference Marco would gain by going alone with 2 horses will not change the chances of saving Claudio.

So we have the possibility to change the horses? Otherwise, I fail to see how are we going to ride hard for 150 km...thirtythr33 wrote:Hard riding horse speed ~20km/hr (requires changing horses each ~40km)

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Besides, if its mandatory for the party to split for the shake roleplaying the character to the point, then it should be resolved in the Scene, not OOC.
Ferran would have his objections made vocal. I'm sure that Giorgio would too. And I'm sure that Giovani would press for not splitting up. Don't think he wants his plans compromised in any way.

Sorry, bad phrasing on my part.Korbel wrote:So we have the possibility to change the horses? Otherwise, I fail to see how are we going to ride hard for 150 km...
It is summer in the game (Sack of Rome was May 6), so you have 15hrs of light. You can go 10km/hr and make the 150km in 1 day if you don't stop and keep up a good speed.

Cool. Just don't forget that at the end there's also a one-hour boat trip. Not the best idea when it's dark, I suppose. So we need to travel slighlty faster. OK, then it's decided. We leave for Venice. All of us

In reality that's 16hrs 46min. I think we can travel by civil twilight as well.
Plus nautical twilight is 21:38 - 22:28. That's 50 min more. Think we can get there by horse + boat with no real trouble.Korbel wrote:Cool. Just don't forget that at the end there's also a one-hour boat trip. Not the best idea when it's dark, I suppose.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Given the latest developments I guess we'll be too busy bumping each other off to bother with trivial issues like hostile bandits or slavers.

Last time they've lost a ship, this time we take a cart or horses from them. Basically, whenever you need something, just go for a 2 day trip and search for Arabs. Just be careful, comes with inherit risks.Benedict wrote:Or those Arabs seeking to even the score.

Don't want to be a dick and all.
I know time is limited. So I ask directly. Do you want Agamemnon to resolve this scene between Gasparo and Ferran? I think it will affect their interaction for the coming Scene(s). If you don't want to, I should just erase that last post instead of leaving it to a nonsensical cliffhanger.
