Tall, lean, and rangy, Gritti cut a rather saturnine figure. Sharp, high cheekbones, and deep, hollow eye-sockets only worsened this implication, suggesting an appearance rather like a bearded skull. His clothing was well-tailored and trimmed in the manner of a wealthy commoner, but it too carried a somber suggestion about it. He was swathed in dark hues and stark whites.
Gritti seems to be an intensely private person, speaking little of himself or his acquaintances. Rumor has him painted as a base-born bastard of some important noble, though his parentage will change depending on the rumor's source. These rumors will often also hint at the ill response at those who should breach the subject. What is known by some is that Gritti is a creature of Don Giovanni, and seems to be a trusted one at that.
