Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
That's fine; refusing to use lethal attacks in a (potentially) lethal encounter counts as enough risk to fire.
How does Marco feel about his employees killing on his behalf?

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
The moment Ferran hears the cry readies his quillions dagger and cinquedea and covers (Lays Ambush) the door.

Ferran is at the second floor entrance? And this door is locked right?

Well, Marco has just warned them. But if they press the assault, what can he do to prevent bloodshed? Not much.thirtythr33 wrote:How does Marco feel about his employees killing on his behalf?

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
I mean, has Marco told Cirillo or Karl that he doesn't want unnecessary killing?

Ferran is at the second floor at the base of the stairs. The door is locked.
The "Make a name" SA is firing, correct?

Hmm, I was pretty sure I stated that. Marco's objective here is to prevent unnecessary bloodshed.thirtythr33 wrote:I mean, has Marco told Cirillo or Karl that he doesn't want unnecessary killing?

Just because it is his objective doesn't necessarily mean he ordered the others to likewise.Korbel wrote:Marco's objective here is to prevent unnecessary bloodshed.

Right. I wrongly assumed this is obvious for everyone.thirtythr33 wrote:Just because it is his objective doesn't necessarily mean he ordered the others to likewise.
Yes, when they were spending the time in the warehouse, Marco has expressed his attitude, sure.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Sorry, just went through previous posts. Can I cover the window instead of the door? Preps were so long ago I mistakenly thought the door was just locked.
As for shooting arrows from the windows, I believe they could. Probably at increased Ob?Alex wrote:For the main door on the second floor, we place a few heavy crates or boxes behind it. Unless they have a ram, it is going to be tough going through this way.
For the window that is easy to access, I propose to leave it as it is. If they break it, they can come in, but they will have to go one at a time and they are going to be easy picking for us. So we don't reinforce that window, but we nail a small plank to the window ledge on the inside. This plank will have some nails sticking out and we will paint the plank and the nails black. Also, we leave a plank about two feet by two feet with nails sticking out just below the window. Once again, we paint it black.

Thanks for finding the relevant sections.
Yes, Ferran can cover the window.
Arrows? I believe everyone has crossbows. Bows would have a penalty, but crossbows wouldn't.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
To sum it up.
The 2nd floor door is locked and heavily reinforced. The window is unblocked but trapped. The surface of the floor is strewn with caltrops hidden by hay. The stairs are trapped with trip wires top and bottom and greased. Everyone is fully armed and armored. The 3rd floor window overlooking the canal is open and ready to use as a fast exit. A small boat is ready to be used as a getaway. Anything I forget please add.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
We went another way, but I'd like to know anyway (may be useful later): is it possible to surprise the crossbow team the way I described earlier (small dock - swim in the canal - climb up - attack)?

Anything is possible if you roll well enough.

Re: The Floating City [OOC] [TWO]
Since this is the last thing describing Cirillo's actions I'm just going to assume he is using Lay Ambush over the front door from the bottom of the stairs next to Ferran (And doesn't need to roll Sequence).Marras wrote:Cirillo tries to find a best position so he has a clear line of fire to front door.
