Re: The Storm - OOC
After the young one flees Ruthard takes the older guy out of sight, makes sure he's not bleeding to death, takes away his gear, and binds him. He suggests that Karl should wear the guard's armor, there's no point leaving it there.
We should try to make a diversion before getting in.
Can we have a layout of the courtyard? Any notable buildings like a warehouse or stables? Any side entrances?

That's smart. Good mail is always useful if you help Karl, he can put the armor on in reasonably short period of time, a minute or two.Benedict wrote:He suggests that Karl should wear the guard's armor, there's no point leaving it there.
You find the keys, to the gate and doors.
No side entrances, just barred windows. The stables are at the backBenedict wrote:Can we have a layout of the courtyard? Any notable buildings like a warehouse or stables? Any side entrances?

Actually I have the youth take off his armor too. Twinscars or Hans could use it. Or I could use it instead of the gambesson if none needs it.Korbel wrote:That's smart. Ok, we should take it to the back, check if there are more guards and horses. If there are horses we secure them. Then we put the stables to the torch, luring them out as we lay in ambush.Korbel wrote:No side entrances, just barred windows. The stables are at the back

Twinscars doesn't want to change armor.Benedict wrote:Actually I have the youth take off his armor too. Twinscars or Hans could use it. Or I could use it instead of the gambesson if none needs it.
Hans? As you wish.
If you want to take the mail Benedict, you can use it to supplement your armor. But, technically, not instead of the gambeson. You need a gambeson anyway, worn under the mail (Dueling Kit says so). Anyway, the mail will help you protect your armpits, thighs, etc. - but give you more CP penalty too.

There are no horses.
Stables are not connected to the manor, but the fire should be clearly visible from the windows.

If Hans doesn't need it I'll update accordingly.Korbel wrote:Hans? As you wish.

Actually, there are two more mail hauberks (ask Hans what happened behind the corner...), so you can freely take this one.Benedict wrote:If Hans doesn't need it I'll update accordingly.

Yes, there are two guards who doesn't need them anymore There are also couple of open helms.
Hans won't take the mail as he prefers to move more freely.
Are we all in one place? What's the situation?

You can be wherever you want to be and do whatever you want doMarras wrote:Are we all in one place? What's the situation?
I assume you will help Ruthard and Karl put the mail on? And then Ruthard goes around the manor to investigate? Do you go with him?
BTW, everyone of you wins 2 Story Points for engaging in a conlict and winning.
You can discuss your plan now, or something. If you can, please describe your actions in the actual game topic.

Karl will put the mail on, and agree with the plan to ambush guards investigating the stable fire.

Re: The Storm - OOC
OK, so you set the stables on fire, hide somewhere nearby and wait in an ambush? Or do you wait somewhere at the doors of the manor? Or something else?

Re: The Storm - OOC
My proposal:
We gag and bind Gunther like the pig he is.
Me and Twinscars flank the doors and lay in ambush.
Karl should stay at a distance guarding Hilde and Otto.
Hans sets the stables to fire then join us.

Re: The Storm - OOC
Note: Gunther has a bleeding wound on his face. Hans won't mention it but if it matters to some of you, you should know
Hans can go to set the stables to fire but it will take time for him to move the horses away (provided there are more than one).
Hans suggests that he will go around the manor building so he absolutely knows if there are more doors than the main doors.
Let's count the people inside:
6 guards + 1 captain + 1 priest + 1 lord (assumed) = 9 persons.
Do you know how many servants or family members there are likely to be?
