As Hans, I didn't remember White Company. Then I began to read the text behind the link and I remembered that I had read that entry some time ago (probably followed from Condottieri entry). Funny thing about condottieri as it apparently means contractor, the same term used by PMC operators

If those two get to the manor we'd have to fight two more men in addition to the guards. What do you say guys, we overwhelm them? Not murder them, incapacitate, then leave them bound in the bushes.
As for the money, I'd like to object. A freeman earns 12sk per season, 48 per year. That means 2 marks 8 skillings. 10 marks is 200sk, that's nearly 5 years wages.
Also, shouldn't we make Man rolls to see if they agree?

As a mercenary, would you risk damaging your reputation for one mark? And those two bounty hunters have specific reasons to keep their reputation in this region, its their turf. Maybe I'm revealing too much, but they will not risk, unless paid significantly better.

A foreign bounty hunter operating in my homeland isn't on his "turf". Also I'm paying them good money, plus they didn't made a counter offer. They said 10, take it or leave it. And if I am to uphold my reputation (Ifamous, Bloodthirsty) I should just kill them. And I would if it didn't hinder my SAs.Korbel wrote:And those two bounty hunters have specific reasons to keep their reputation in this region, its their turf. Yes, I agree to whatever way to keep them from going to the manor. Killing them is just fine by Hans as it is probably quickest and safest way.

It's more about Scarface. But they work together.Benedict wrote:A foreign bounty hunter operating in my homeland isn't on his "turf".

So, do you want to go to the combat?Marras wrote:Killing them is just fine by Hans as it is probably quickest and safest way.

They're not on the side of Sir Erich or Georgius, right? So if they turn up at the manor, surely they end up fighting the guards and/or townsfolk. Wouldn't that be a great opportunity to slip into the manor somewhere remote from where the fight is happening. Seems like a great distraction...?
Karl will also be a little reluctant to kill men that aren't trying to kill him.

That could be one way to view it. They might alert them to our presece, offer their services to Erich, or both.Stempest wrote:They're not on the side of Sir Erich or Georgius, right? Don't want to sound cynical, but as things are, everyone not with us is against us. That leaves us two options. Either attack them by surprise to kill Erich and Georgius, or we must flee to the woods. During a storm.Stempest wrote:Karl will also be a little reluctant to kill men that aren't trying to kill him.

My guess is that they will warn the lord and priest of our presence and end up at the employ (whether by money or witchraft or whatever it was) of them, against us.
I agree that there are us against rest of the people in the village.

Too much talking. Decision now, or they will be out of reach (I mean, in reach, but close to the gate and guards).

Korbel, that was almost from Conan the Destroyer. There was this scene with a comparatively lengthy talking until Conan says "Enough talk!" and throws a dagger A hint, perhaps?

Ok, that does it. If you are not kidding and he is really throwing a dagger I throw him the warhammer.Korbel wrote:Yeah, but this time it is Maciej who throws a dagger - watch out! now, where are the rules for Complexity and Placement...Marras wrote:Korbel, that was almost from Conan the Destroyer.
