A personal update
I've been entirely off the radar lately, and I feel like I owe you guys an explanation.
Real-life has been all-consuming lately. My family has taken turns going into and out of the hospital, which is emotionally draining in the extreme but also a serious strain on time and finances. I've been fortunate enough that I work freelance so my schedule can accommodate sudden, ridiculous schedule shifts, but at the same time working freelance means my income is directly reliant on having the time/willpower to make sure I get enough work done to keep the lights on. I'm mostly successful at the latter, but it has left little time or mental processing power for game development and writing.
It's a bitter-sweet experience being this close to the thing being done. If I could afford to take a week off, we'd already be done. It's just finding the time and energy to do so with everything else going on.
In any case, I wanted to keep you guys up to date. And apologize. And thank you guys for sticking around as long as you have. I'm attempting to carve out enough time/space/whatever to get progress happening again. I might even catch back up on all the forum activity that I've been unable to read.
Regards,
Malloy

Same as has already been said.
Care of your family and having money to eat come so far ahead of developing an RPG in the priority list.
Best wishes for you and all of yours. Hope everything turns out okay, mate.

Re: A personal update
Thanks, everyone.
On the plus side, writing is getting done tonight. I managed to carve myself out a couple hours and I may or may not have acquired a bottle of whiskey. Writing juice, go! I think it was Hemmingway that said,"write drunk, edit sober." Fortunately, I have an even better solution -- leave editing to Higgins.
(I've also managed to catch up on the first two scenes in the play-by-post. Very cool stuff.)
Cheers!

Re: A personal update
Great news! Thanks a lot.
I'm also following the play-by-post silently and find it quite inspiring. Some very nice details by 33 and also very good consequential character play by the players. Good on you!
