Band of Bastards Play by Post interest?
The Beta looms close on the horizon.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to play it with my game group for some time. Would anyone from around here like to group up for a play by post game when we get the beta? Probably one focused mostly on stress testing the rules, like a series of gladiatorial games or something.
In the past I have run games on http://www.myth-weavers.com/

Could be interesting. Depending on how soon the rules come out, I might get the opportunity to run it for people at my university too.

Me! I want to play. Got not many opportunities to play live.
But I believe the rules have already been stressed much more, than we can do on PBF sessions, so maybe a "normal" adventure?

I could go a PbP. I also might be interested in a live game over skype/G+, though organizing those can be a little rough.

We actually have at least one of those. Not sure he's on the forums though.higgins wrote:Insert an auzzie to complete the set.hector wrote:Given the mix of Americans and Europeans, time zones would be a massive pain in the arse...

I had a trans-pacific campaign (California and Singapore) that ran for a year and a half. Interestingly, my most recent g+ campaign fell apart largely due to the schedule incapatibilities between three Californians.higgins wrote:Insert an auzzie to complete the set.hector wrote:Given the mix of Americans and Europeans, time zones would be a massive pain in the arse...

I'm an Aussie too actually, so there is that.
As far as game medium, I was only really trying to put together a PBP game but if you all want to skype, don't let me stop you!

My regular group plays by skype currently.
If you guys decide you want to do a PbP thing, I'm sure we can find somewhere to post it on here. Rayner and I talked about doing some online demos for people as well, once everything was moving.

My work schedule is too erratic for Skype sessions, unfortunately.

Play by post or forum game could work. I would prefer more story oriented game to really test SAs.

Re: Band of Bastards Play by Post interest?
So all we are really waiting for to get this rolling is Weapon Codex and Equipment list?
How about we all start brainstorming the type of game we want to play? I am happy to make it a more SA focused game like you guys said.
I would also be happy to GM it, provided I get to pick the setting (1520's ish Venice with just a LITTLE magic to keep you on your toes. Don't worry, I'm not going to make you read history books or anything).
