I love how this graph is an unintentional self reference:
Yes, I'm hunting for some sub-chapter headings. No, we didn't go with that one.

Re: Unrelated
Yeah, that's absolutely a good point there. And BTW, I'm really glad someone else finally posted in this thread as well, as various people finding some random interesting tidbit on the web and posting it here is what I originally had in mind when creating this thread.
Don't be shy to post your random internet finds, guys!

Oh yeah, they truly are. I believe modelling slings were one of the first thing I asked Lindybeige about when I contacted quite a few years ago.

Re: Unrelated
After careful consideration, we decided that botches/critical failures were probably not in the best interest of the game.

Ouch!
That is one mean fumble.

Re: Unrelated
With the removal of botch/fumbles, are all failures now relegated to the same result or are there still "degrees of failure"?
PS: I didn't even notice he impaled his finger as well the first time I looked at it. Ugh.
PPS: I'm surprised you wouldn't put fumble in as a lever. Seems kind of exactly what the concept is for.

Re: Unrelated
To be fair, critical fails rarely really add anything to a game - they're either so rare that they hardly ever happen, or they're frequent enough to make skilled characters seem incompetent. I actually kinda like the dungeon world model: failure, partial success and total success; balanced towards the majority of rolls being a partial success.
