Hey guys! Lots of progress on all fronts and new riddle:
What the hell are these misshapen doughnuts?

Well, these are definitely four disks made of wood. They are quite thin and it looks like they've been carefully polished. What purpose could they serve - I don't have a faintest idea.

Were there pairs of the same diameter, I'd have suggested that you were making pom poms.
Looking again, I think the ODs get smaller. I'm going to guess that they'll be used as formers for something slightly conical. But as to that'd be and what material you'd bend over them... no sensible idea.

Sorry for the deceiving angle. They are indeed all the same size. Not pom-poms though.

If the hole were a little smaller, I might have thought it looked a lot like a shield from the dark ages before the boss was attached to it...

It's hot, Hector. Hot-hot-hot.

Hector beat me to the shield suggestion, so I'll be more specific. They look like they're meant for bucklers if you ask me.

Yes! Good job guys! These are buckler blanks.
A shield blank would be quite a bit larger. The central hole is the same size.
Sorry for the bus station backdrop... I didn't think of taking a picture in the workshop as a part of the riddle.

If you have not finalized those shields, could you send some pictures of work in progress? It would be nice to see how you build those shields.
