The Host Exchange

As a result of our recent fiasco, I'll be moving to the forums to a new host/registar in the next few days. This will likely result in downtime. But also in daily backups instead of weekly ones. And hopefully to us never getting hijacked by the registar again.

Welcome back!

Post here or PM me if you find any weirdness with the new board.

When I navigate to http://www.grandheresyforums.com/index.php I get the following error:

Multiple Choices

The document name you requested (/index.php) could not be found on this server. However, we found documents with names similar to the one you requested.
Available documents:

/index.html (common basename)
Please consider informing the owner of the **referring page** about the broken link.

**referring page** links to:
http://www.grandheresyforums.com/viewto ... 3&start=45

I think the problem is on my side though, since it works fine in microsoft edge (which I haven't been to this site with previously) and only errors when I use Chrome (which I usually use). I have tried deleting cookies to no avail.
http://www.grandheresyforums.com/ works just fine though.

This is super bizarre and I cannot replicate this. I just confirmed the transfer a couple of hours ago, so, it could as well be the updating name server issue, which take 24h to update globally. Different browser might connect to different server and get it right. Try that link again in 24h and see if it's still broken.

"The Host Exchange" sounds like some sort of crowd-sourced Eucharist.

..That needs to be a cyberpunk novel.

I thought of religious context when initially posting as well. Left it in. :D

Aaaanyway, I didn't feel like making a new thread about it, but I rearranged the forum sections a bit today. Plus created a couple new ones. Consider this a part of The Host Exchangeâ„¢.

May be connected with the host change?
Something strange happened today. Suddenly, there were 76 guests (and Danny I believe) visiting the page. I was like, what da hell? The most I've seen was around 20.
Some minutes later they disappeared, there were 8 guests left and the situation was back to normal.

Not sure what that was about, but it's a good thing you pointed this out! Looks like I need to adjust some analytics settings after the move for Google to resume monitoring our website traffic.

Another issue! Take a look:

https://snag.gy/3cuSdk.jpg

It redirects to discussions from January and so. The forum is going slightly mad... ;)

I've the same. Four reminders for past citations of my posts...

Relax, it's nothing to worry about. I've been searching through the entire Forums (half-way done) editing non-secure outside links from http to https.

Until it's done you'll be getting those annoying messages.
