Korbel creates a game, too

Maybe I was wrong, maybe I need some more Bastardization?
I'd like to run a short adventure (that would be a "one-shot" IRL.. I mean, in real RPGing). I need 1-3 players. The scenario is quite fixed (I'm sorry), I'll just adjust it to your characters. This will be based on a popular medieval theme (no more spoilers), and a large village is where we're going to murder each other have some fun. Intense and fast horror/survival/action game is what I'm striving for.
Anyone interested?
Regarding SAs and such... Obviously, don't pick long-term goals (and short-term will have to be discussed, they may not fit). I think some of the easiest for me to incorporate into the game would be: passions (friendship, love), bravery, greed, blood thirst, convictions (like not killing innocent), addictions, something about religion, curiosity, honor, "me, myself and I" (that would be great, a really selfish character), phobias, squeamish... Yeah, those are good starting points and guidelines.
If there's no strong opposition, I'd like to try SAs giving you a TN Shift. I hope this gives us a more gritty feel.
So?

Sounds promising as it would be fun to play less than "good" character. My participation depends heavily on how long a game you think this will be and also how fast you need the posts. I might be able to play at about the same pace as in the ongoing game.

What more you can tell about the setting? Is it our world or a fictional one?

In-game? About a day.
For us in real? I hope it would be over in a month or less.

I think it would be fine, yeah.

Our world, nothing special here, France or Germany, XIV or XV century.

I need the PCs to be travellers, arriving to the village one sunny (or maybe not sunny) day. Together or not. It would be fun if the PCc were of different social status. And as you Marras are interested in a bad guy, than I think we need a honorable hero? :)

If the current speed is OK, then I will probably be able to participate. I have to refine my ideas for the character a bit first.

How do you want to handle character generation? Will it be at open or will it be only shared between the GM an the player?

Good point.
As this is intended as a short adventure, opposing/hostile PCs are actually OK. In this case, not knowing each other's characters makes it more interesting.
It's probably not 100% in the spirit of the game, but you know, "rules are only guidelines" ;)
I would do my best to tie your characters, so it makes sense to play together, even if your goals and convictions are exactly opposite.

So, if you're creating a character, PM me - don't post it here ;)

As we've come up with a few demo adventures here in GH, there's one major tip I've gotta give:

Make the SAs as intermingled as possible. You want every character tied to at least two other characters via SAs.

Not only will it create a lot of situations where multiple characters have their SAs fire, but it also establishes and solidifies the web of character relationships right from the get-go, which is super important in a one-shot where you simply don't have the time to develop those relations.

Yeah, that's very important. I'll do my best. Well, for now I have only one character ;) but if there are more, my first priority is to make sure everything is tight and tied. Thanks!

I'd be up for this, but will need to be at home to consider characters, which I am not currently (until this evening). (I'm located in Canberra, Australia, so would probably be posting at opposite times to the rest of you).

Sounds interesting, but I fear that two games at once are too much for me. Anyways, I'll enjoy reading, so please go on ;)

Hi and hello!
OK, timezones are not really an issue, as long as you post regularly.
Regarding character options, let's do this in private, just like with Marras ;)

Sorry for double-posting.
O Higher Powers, grant us a separate sub-forum (just like with the Floating City), as we are being quite close to start this heretic game of ours.
Name it "The Storm" (sorry, I'm having no better ideas :D)

Leaving on vacation tomorrow and I'll be back by the end of the month. If you haven't started by then I'd like to play too. But don't hold it for my account if the players gather. I'd hate to kill the murdering fun before it even starts. :)

Well, we're almost ready and I think (and hope) we will start this week. In this case you can always join later (hehe, like in Floating City).
But if we bog down and the game starts, let's say, about 25. August - I think we could wait a couple of days for the third player?
