"And is it your custom to insult the honoured dead?" Giorgio seethes, bile rising in his gorge. "Don't think that I'm ungrateful for your master's hospitality. I have no quarrel with him, but rather his trained German."

Giorgio stands up and sketches a mocking bow.

"Now if you kind gentlemen would excuse me, I must see to my own master. He's lost someone very dear to him and requires my counsel."

As he walks toward the door he purposely bumps into Gregor and whispers;

"Try me little man, and you'll find out exactly how I came upon this little cat gutter."

He quickly exits, pressing his hand to his wound when he is certain that none can see his pain.

With the two visitors out of the room, Giovanni sighs heavily. "If you are quite done provoking our guests, Gregor, would you please be so kind as to carry the fallen soldier to the roof of the tower."

Giovanni smirks "Gasparo and I will have to see the stars tonight."

"Didn't mean to provoke anyone. Just being ehrlich." he mumbles apologetically.

With sad face and hanging head, Gregor gets down to work...

Gasparo says little else, but watches Giorgio hobble out of the room. When Giovanni comments, the cautionary hand Gasparo had put on the German's shoulder gives a consoling pat. The man himself then slips away, leaving Gregor to his task and comes to stand at Giovanni's side. "Are there any preparations to which you would bid me attend, Maestro?"

Giovanni ponders a moment. "A notebook and quill. The opportunity to take notes first hand won't come often."
