If Marco is happy to accept the terms that Karls relays from Nicolo, I can jump straight to Team A going to the Duel and Team B making whatever preps they want for the warehouse.
I'm happy enough.

Karl does not really care about the terms with Nicolo. After all, he is not the one paying an exorbitant price for small warehouse...
However, he would like to convince Marco to use one of the Acerbi warehouse instead of renting it from an outsider. What they are doing is almost illegal, so he would rather have fewer people involved.
Also, if they use their own warehouse, they could prep it up as they want. They would not care too much about spilling a bit of blood. Also, legal wise, I figure it is easy to defend in court that you were attacked on your own ground.
I don't know if we have time to roleplay it between Marco and Karl...
Also, I don't have an easy fix for that, but it makes no sense that only Karl and Farran would be involve in this ambush. The first time, they faced three relatively skilled thugs with clubs and daggers. They were three men although they were only there to frighten an old wood carver.
This time, they want to : 1) release their gang members, 2) maybe have some vengeance.
This means I would expect more thugs, better equipped and they will not fall easily into our traps.
Should we wait after the duel so everyone can be involved? We can still hide the prisoners in whatever warehouse we choose, but Ferran will wait to tip off Rocco about our location.

Also my roll I guess would be Acu+Streetwise for finding rumors, Cun+Streetwise for spreading? And does my Sailor 3 adds another die to the mix?
The description says Acumen/Streetwise ability for finding information and Social/Streetwise to spread information. Sailor 3 will count as an Associated Skill for 1 more dice, if Ferran is mostly doing his work around the docks.
I think we have put off the duel for long enough. If you want to do the rumoring before the duel, just roll streetwise. If you want to wait until after the duel we can role-play it out.

You can take some other guards as backup if you like. Giorgio will tag along if you want him to. If it comes down to a 2PCs + 4NPC vs 6NPCs or something, I will run the PC vs NPC combats fully and the NPC vs NPC parts using the Simple Combat rules.

I was thinking doing that mainly at the docks where Ferran feels most at home. Yes, its Social, checked it out too.
To speed things up here it goes:
Find Info (Acu+Streetwise)
[dice seed=12645 secure=cc47c03d_0]6d10[/dice]
Spreading Rumors (Soc+Streetwise)
[dice seed=51715 secure=d498ee80_1]5d10[/dice]
Ouch.

Ok, Ferran tries this. Since he is carrying Marco's personal cinquedea, he calmly keeps his distance and approaches the nearest guards, claiming that these two are shadowing him for no good reason and that he is a distant cousin of Marco who just came Venice.
Want me to roll Soc+Impersonation?
Scratch that. Really really changed my mind. Its bad to expose the Acerbis. Instead, can I try to loose them in the crowd. then try to shadow them myself?

Ferran sees they aren't just tailing him. They are approaching quickly. There are a couple of other civilians on the street but no guards within sight.

You asked for it.
If people have forgotten who Master Gatti is, here is the relavant part:
Ferran: "Its really fascinating that I encounter señor Blasio here. It's interesting that I did heard you señor with my own ears trying to play one brother against the other and accuse the good doctor here of being a poisoner. I thought I've seen you before, but now I'm certain. Last time I saw you a couple of fortnights ago in the port of Ragusa, accompanying master Gatti. Before making insinuations or accusations señor better explain yourself, because one of the things I can't abide with is a villain, friend to smugglers and slavers, accusing innocents."
It takes Blasio a few moments before recognition washes over his face. "I hardly have to explain myself to a sailor, but if you had not noticed, Venice is at war. With the majority of our warships battling Charles to the West, the Ottoman Corsairs have become more brazen than ever. If you must know, I have been working through the process of attempting to broach an alliance with them. Venice has vast wealth to spend, but we are short on ships and time and cannot sustain a fight on two fronts. If we could come to agreement with the Ottomans to allow supply ships with Venician flags pass unmolested it would of huge benefit to allowing Venice to continue holding off the Spaniards and the Holy Roman Empire. As we are on the brink of ruin, Venice is in no position to refuse even an unsavory ally." Giacomo nods, as if to confirm.
