Truth is, we used to have rounds and turns. One referred to the skirmish level things, and other to melee. I still can't remember which was which, so, we used a radically different term for the melee just to keep track of things. That's it.

If you have a better suggestion, shoot.
As I've said many times now, Phase.

I believe "Phase" is a bad choice to replace "Phrase".

A phase denotes a part of a whole. A cycle can be broken down to phases. It could be used to replace "Sequence" or "Tempo" for example. Not "Phrase". It feels extremely out of context to me. Not only that, Phase seems more appropriate for more modern-esque and sci-fi games.

Now "Phrase". For me "Phrase" (and "Tempo") are both stellar ideas. Both enhance and underline the "Blood Opera" theme of the game, as both are also music terms. Imho these two should not be touched at all. :)

Will not vote because I'll translate it to German anyways. And I've no real feeling which one is better...

My preference would be for a round made of two tempos.

What would you call the Skirmish level time units? Don't say Turn, as that's basically a synonym for Round.

Hadn't thought of that. Mainly I like Tempo, but dislike phrase.

That's the gist of it. If Round and Turn weren't so easy to confuse, we wouldn't be having this issue.

I love Tempo. It fits so amazingly well that i want it to be kept in any case.
