Do you mean the first shriek or the recent hushing?

.......

Man, you're insane!

A simple passage could do it, bu no, a full chart!

Anyway, Ferran tries to pinpopint the woman and make a plan about the ship's hold. Obviously he's in sleeping quarters atm. Do I get to roll anything like a Perception (listen) for the woman, and an Acu+Sailor (or whatever else you deem appropriate) to guess where the important stuff (captain's cabin, charts, valuables, etc) should be?

Good thing you mentioned it. Both.

In this case, sleeping quarters = cargo hold = oar rowing area. One big room with benches.

You literally just walked past it:
Piled up in the stairway and filling the entry room are travelers chests, saddlebags, rucksacks and lockboxes. At the other end of the entry room is an open door to the hold.
Ferran crept past the helm and down the stairs to get to the hold. It IS very strange that all this stuff isn't being stored in the hold (the hold is STUFFED full of people).

Couldn't tell with the shriek. The hushing came from ~5-10m ahead on Ferran's right.

Seems to me that these guys are moving slaves. Too many people without arms to make sense. Anyway Ferran creeps towards the woman.

It is so dark and with so many people lying around on the floor, to do so Ferran would have to literally be stepping on people. This can't be done unnoticed.

Ok, now that's clear. Change of plans. Back out the door and back to the interesting stuff (travelers chests, saddlebags, rucksacks and lockboxes). Don't forget, he IS Curious. :D

Thanks. Assigned it to "Ladies in distress" SA. Seems only fitting.

Just to clarify. Ferran saw Ottomans on deck. 2 on bow, 1 on crow's nest, the guy with the pipe, and the rest sleeping, correct? They are roughly 12 men, and about 20+ italian dressed ones?

Yes.
~16 Italians on deck
~25 Italians in the hold

Ok its time to play. Ferran takes the 6 guys with him and leads them on deck. The idea is to rush them while they sleep. How do you want to do this? A full Skirmish? A Simple Combat? Something in between?

I'll have to think. For now I'm off to bed though. Probably skirmish for players and I'll just narrate NPCs not directly fighting a player.

Yeah, better make it a Skirmish. I'd love to fail some Movement Rolls or something.

Ok, so we can do it at the earliest convenient time for everyone. As for Giorgio? You will run him? Maybe Korbel would like to take a swing or three. Or even better a new face. It would add more chaos to the Skirmish I think. :D

PS After all Marco can assist with his sling from below, can't he? Imagine being roosted in a crow's nest and having a sling bullet caving that skull in.

I'm going to be very busy the next few days. I probably won't be able to run this combat until Saturday.
