For Marco's mitigated success, he succeeded in making Giacomo look bad but in the process he also made himself look bad. Marco gains 1 SA.

From last time you were here you remember the front room has lots of shelves displaying his work as well as lots of furniture he has carved on display. There are many places to hide. In the backroom there are piles of wood, stacks of planks and workbenches covered with lathes, chisels, mallets and saws. Upstairs is most likely the couples living quarters and bedrooms.
Tell me if that works: is it possible for only one person to take the Stealth check?
We hide in the front room. We don't mind moving the furniture around to get a better cover.
One person hides behind a desk close to the front door (to get behind Blasio if he tries to hide).
Since I am bad at hiding, I find something really big to hide behind. I will not have a view of the front door at the beginning, but once I hear a commotion I will spring to action.
Also, we make sure all lights are extinguish on the first and second floor. It will be very dark. Blasio will probably bring some kind of light source (torch or lanthern), but not too much light to bring attention to himself.
Only one person will have a clear view of the front entrance (whoever has the best hiding skill). That person will try to hide has best as possible. Once that person sees that Blasio is well inside the room he will launch the ambush.

Sorry for the mega-late response, was really busy with RL. Is it possible that Ferran could hide outside the back side of the shop on the opposite sidewalk pretending to be a sleeping drunk? Stealth ain't my strong suit, way better at Impersonation. If it is possible we should also have planned in advance a signal whistle between us three in case anyone suspicious tried to enter the shop.
As far as gear goes, I carry my 3 blades (knife, dagger, cutlass) and wear my leather doublet.

If you want to wait in another room (upstairs or whatever) you don't need to roll stealth. If combat breaks out though you won't get the Ambush bonus. To get Ambush, you need to attack from stealth.
Yes, you can use social + impersonation instead of stealth to be a drunkard. Same deal with Ambush. The best you get attacking from Impersonation is Sucker Punch. There is also the chance that someone that was breaking in might not want to while someone is hanging around nearby though.
Yes, you can have an agreed upon whistle to signal to each other.

Really good point, no need dividing our forces then. Some tactics we should agree upon, unless the guys have something else in mind.
The most possible routes are either the back door or the front door. No reason trying through he 2nd floor. I suggest this:
Ferran goes upstairs with the couple to guard them (for all we know they could signal anyone coming and I don't trust fearful men). He closes and locks/bars the shutters on the front side of the shop, he stays by the back windows checking out for movement and watching over the shopkeeper and his wife. In case of trouble he will use the higher ground to his advantage by throwing something heavy on any assailants before engaging in melee.
Karl and Giorgio should monitor the two shop entrances in such a way that anyone trying to come in can't see both of them.
The moment any of us spots something interesting he should make our predetermined signal.

I thought of something a bit simpler.
I don't think Blasio will try to get through the windows on the second floor. He doesn't have to be that stealthy: he goes inside the workshop to talk to the woodcarver and intimidate him (or silence him forever). Also, there will no light on the second floor and we will make sure the windows are shuttered. Maybe an expert thief or an acrobat would try the second floor, but I don’t think that will be the case for Blasio. And if we hear something on the second floor, we climb upstairs and/or ambush him when he comes climbing down outside.
I thought we could break the lock on the front door. It would look like we broke in earlier to talk to the woodcarver.
Blasio will be careful; he will probably scan the place before going in. Without any light inside, he will not see much. However, he will notice the front door is closed, but it does not shut properly.
I see no reason why Blasio would expect an ambush, especially since he does not have high regard for Marco. At the fencing school, Marco acted brashly.
And we keep the door in the back room locked. If it opens inward, we can shove some furniture to make sure there is no way he can get through that way.
And question for 33: how hard would it be to hide in front room? (What is the difficulty or Obstacle for the Stealth?) Karl is not too good at hiding, so he might opt to stay in another room...

I think we will go to look for anything suspicious, as Ciriilo said. Unless Giacomo wants to speak with us, or something.

Ob2. You can use share successes if you narrate how and probably each have an SA that applies. You're also the aggressors here (so you win on ties) so it shouldn't be that difficult.

OK. Marco goes to check the kitchen (and to the armory to bring the crossbow, if we have one), Cirillo speaks with Francesca.

Alex has a point. Still I think that having the higher ground in case a fight breaks out will be helpful. I'll hide crouching around at the middle of the stairs. If there's something relatively heavy that I can lift (like a chest, a stout stool, etc - after all its a woodcarver's shop) I take it with me so I have something at hand to throw at any aggressors. Don't know if any of my SAs kick in tho. Either "Has a soft spot for ladies in distress 1" since its an ambush on a potential rapist, or more far-fetched "Wants to make a name for himself! 3" could kick in. I leave it to 33 to make that call.

So for ambush:
Ferran is upstairs with a heavy object (out of sight, but not "stealthed")
Karl is at the (broken) front door, stealthed with 5 successes
Giorgio hasn't posted in 8 days.
Alex, how about Karl gives 2 successes to Giorgio to hide at the back door? That way we can keep things going a little longer before we have to stop to wait for DannyBoy.
I have exams from now until the 22nd, so don't expect much posting from me. [Poison] Scene is on hold until Ambush catches up.
If there is no response from DannyBoy by the 22nd, I'll say that Giorgio remained at the Acerbi household and we will run the ambush with Ferran and Karl only.

OK, good luck with exams! BTW, I really liked the idea of naming those chapters!

Sounds good to me.
I second Marras, naming chapter is a good idea.
Also, to make it faster to know what is going on, it might be easier to have an OOC Chapter thread with each "official thread".
So you would get "chapter 7 Ambush" and "chapter 7 ambush OOC". Might be easier to follow when there are many things going on.
