Yeah, if there are daggers in the air, Hans will go after Maciej as he doesn't have throwing proficiencies.

If you guys want to fight them, you need to catch them first. Lets say this is a single opposed roll, Agility\Athletics(sprinting). Agility because its slippery. You can share successes.

I don't know if any of my SAs are firing but here's the roll.

Well, if what you want is to subdue or kill to be free of them than I think it fires. 5 successes.
This time you're the predator and they run ;)

Anyway:

"Twinscar" TN 7 (wound)
[dice seed=16855 secure=4a54bb3f_0]7d10[/dice]
[dice seed=47793 secure=9911bea9_1]3d10[/dice]

Maciej TN 6
[dice seed=46875 secure=fa133007_2]8d10[/dice]
[dice seed=46053 secure=46025148_3]4d10[/dice]

----------

Yeah, another strange results. Twinscar 1, Maciej 7 successes. I guess we have another Conan reference: you know, when he picks and carries a weak girl when they are running from some terrible danger. So, after sharing, they have 4 successes each.

That SA is good enough but I was thinking more about the latest addition :)

Er, did I miss something? Didn't you say that Maciej was throwing a dagger? :?

Anyway, lets keep it going. I burn 1 SA to Grin and Bear it for the scene (TN7 from 8)
[dice seed=28787 secure=1efee9b5_0]6d10[/dice]
[dice seed=35605 secure=a94ec3e6_1]3d10[/dice]
4 successes, or 6 successes if my Father Georgius SA is firing, your call. :)

Let's wait for Stempest to see how we share successes.

Sorry, we were just joking around, there was no dagger :D
Benedict wrote:4 successes, or 6 successes if my Father Georgius SA is firing, your call. :)
Hmmm... I don't think I have to make this call. Remember you are disadvantaged for physical tasks because of armor, so your TN will be 7 or 8 (depending on the SA, which is not clear) - and it doesn't change anything, as there are no 7s in your rolls. So: 4 successes anyway.

Maciej is unarmored, I remember that. I take it that Twinscars wears no armor too?

You can't say for sure, he might have some lighter armor under the cloak (gambeson etc). There is no helmet. The boots and gloves are thick leather.

3 successes for me. Can we give successes to make sure one (or two) of us catches them and slows them down for the rest of us?

Of course. For example, you can give one of your successes to Ruthard, so he has 5 and catches them without complications (a tie would mean that we have a compromise). And than you join, I'd say 2 Phrases later (as you would be MoF 2).
But before you decide... I'd like to tempt you. Play your Honorable Flaw. Maciej and Twinscars don't deserve death, they don't even want to fight. Is it righteous to attack them?

So, Ruthard has 4 successes? Then I give him one leaving myself with just 4. Hans tries to help Ruthard to catch them by running fast but flanking them so they hesitate a bit giving Ruthard just enough time to catch them.

OK, just keep in mind this means you have a mitigated success (compromise). I'll have to think about the cost...

Sounds bad :)

Hans is probably least proficient combatant and I barely know how combat works but Hans will go down in a blaze of glory (or gore)

Imho this footchase (as well as the Bargaining part) should be handled with Full Contests (pg 97) but that's me. :)
