The bearded man grits his teeth and says "Go fuck yourself."
"O happy dagger!
This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die."

Ferran smiles at him and says "Does your ass get jealous of all this shit that is coming out of your mouth?" and sharply steps on his toes with his booted heel, his hand is on his dagger. "You'd better come clean or I'll let you have fun with my friend... again."

The man stares up at Ferran defiantly. "You idiots are in way over your head. Either slit our throats or let us go. Otherwise, there will be blood in the streets."

"You think we're fucking scared of you?" Giorgio snarls. "You think that anything you say can frighten us, that your boss is such a big tough guy that we can't take him down?"

You hear the sound of Felle coming down the stairs. He calls down "What's going on down there?"

"Felle, everything is under control. You don't have to worry. Stay upstairs and I will talk to you later."

Karl looks at Giorgio when he gets mad, but this time he makes a sign to mean: do whatever you want with this guy.

Felle stops half way down the stairs and looks over the scene but doesn't say anything.

"Ferran, take the bleeder, he can still walk. Karl and I will take the other two." Giorgio nods towards the two tied men in the corner. "I don't think they can move without assistance."

Giorgio takes the two men's masks, wads them up, and shoves them into their mouths. He then picks up the one whose testicles were ruined and bodily hefts him over his shoulder. Making his way towards the door, he turns and looks up at Felle.

"I am sorry for the inconvenience, sir."

"First let me bind them securely to avoid any surprises. And a thought. I fear that after their failure senor Felle and his wife are both in danger. We should find a way to protect them, either taking them with us to the estate, or hiding them somewhere in the city."

Ferran turns to Felle.

"Senor, pardon me for asking, but you and your wife are in danger. Do you have a place to go for the night besides this house? I fear that if you stay here tonight you will have more unpleasant visitors."

Felle says to Ferran "Yes... I uh... We will go to my sister's house."

You go about binding, disarming and gagging your captives while discussing what exactly you are going to do with them and where to take them. Eventually you decide to take them all back to the Acerbi estate, hopefully unseen as to not draw unwanted attention.

You march the men outside, with one man slung over Karl's shoulder and the other two being closely followed by Ferran and Giorgio. You stick to as many of the back alleys as possible, but ultimately the Woodcarver's house is on a different island to that of the Acerbi estate so you have no choice but to cross a few bridges which are well lit and leave you in the open for a short period of time. You navigate the first without trouble by waiting for a good time and hustling across before hiding in another alley on the other side; not many people are out at this hour.

You come to Rialto Bridge; one of the few that spans the Canal Grande (Grand Canal) which you must cross. It is brightly lit and too steep to see across to make sure the way is clear. You gather your captives and urge them over the bridge. As you come around the first landing and are getting ready to cross the bridge propper you hear the sound of heavy steps on stone and see the silhouette of someone coming over the crest of the bridge in the opposite direction.

Karl stops and waits to see who is coming across the bridge. He also listens carefully to figure out if one or many people are coming their way.

After a few moments the silhouette forms into a young man, closely followed by a second. The two men are dressed in common clothes; a tilted berret and tight leggings covered by a heavy cloak that covers their back and left arm. They each have a plain cinquedea on their right hip. There doesn't appear to be any more than two men.

The young man in front puts eyes on Karl, carrying a thug over his shoulder and he calls out "Too much to drink, eh?" apparently not yet realising the situation.

"You can say that again" Giorgio laughs. "It would probably be for the best if the two of you went home and forgot you saw us".

At Giorgio's threatening remark the passerby takes another look at the group before him. He apparently notices the thugs are gagged and bound, since his stance shifts defensively. His hand moves to rest on his weapon but he doesn't draw it. He takes a careful step backwards and says "You know, I think I left something at work." He grabs his friend by the shoulder and leads him back down the bridge the way that they came.

When the group of you pass over the other side of the bridge you see the two men up the street watching suspiciously of which way you go. You turn into an alley and they do not follow. You have no further interruptions on the way back to the Acerbi estate.
