I've added the macros Agamemnon described.

At some stage I may even look into linking up the BoB character sheet to roll20 so you can roll straight from there.

Is everyone happy to fast forward the game to the next morning and assume that characters have all caught up with eachother and explained what they have found?

Yes, I believe this is the way to go. We should have a breakfast together (or something), talk and decide, what to do now.

OK, can I roll to check if I know anything useful about Saint Mark's Fencing School? I grew up in Venice, maybe even took lessons in this very school. If yes, is my SA firing?

You can roll Background, Education, Streetwise (Social) and/or make a Connections roll. I don't think SAs make sense for knowledge rolls because Marco isn't facing a challenge.

To make things more interesting, I'll go with the Connections roll. Let's try this out. So this is going to be a Social/Background roll, I am right? And with my first SA firing, cos it's said in the description they can be used when making a Connections roll? "My" NPC could be of the same social class, but preferably available the moment we get there. Maybe you want to keep the roll secret? This contact could be secretly working against us, and we shouldn't know this :)

so you want
Common Knowledge (Ob1)
Right here, right now (Ob2)
Same social class (Ob0)
total Ob3

With
Social (2)
Trade Merchant (3)
SA (2)
total 7 dice

No disadvantage, helping or other modifiers.

Just roll in the open. You can make up some stuff about the NPC or leave it to me.
or use /gmroll so only you and I see it if you prefer.

3 dice from Trade? I thought it would be 2 dice from Background, I find it appropriate.

Whichever you prefer. The type you use will determine how you know the person.

Using background will be Ob4 with only 6 dice.
