Beta Release Part 4
Last week we said we'd be delayed until Friday. We were right(ish). We just got the wrong Friday. Oops.
Release number 4 is now available on our downloads page. This week's update includes a number of minor fixes and clarifications, some technical updates to the file itself, and even the proper cover finally formatted and applied.
However, the most exciting update is the addition of the ranged combat section, letting you pour copious amounts of arrows, bolts, and bullets into people you dislike. A discussion thread will be up on the forums, as always, and any feedback is welcome.
Next week we hope to get caught back up and on schedule. Stay tuned!

Re: Beta Release Part 4
I thought this release was supposed to be wounds, weapons, and armor. Having ranged combat rules is of limited use if we don't have the weapons with which to apply them and spot rules inconsistencies. We're going to have to wait another week for that, huh?

More like three or four weeks, I'm afraid... Next week we should get Skirmish rules, than wounds, and than weapons and armors.myanbar wrote:I thought this release was supposed to be wounds, weapons, and armor. We're working on a fix to get the necessary materials for sparring out ahead of their proper book order. Stay tuned.myanbar wrote:I thought this release was supposed to be wounds, weapons, and armor. Hi
I really like the way you've split ranged combat into two pools. It fixes a problem I've had with ranged combat in tros and blade for a while and it neatly aligns with the melee system
Looking forward to using it.
Cheers Paul

Thanks. It's played pretty well in testing so far. It seems like we decided at some point that if something was important, it would become a split-pool system. Melee, Ranged Combat, and Sorcery all fall under this heading (you guys will get a magic chapter one day). I'm thinking I want an optional social combat system to work on the same principles later.Phill wrote:Hi
